Student Citizenship Awards : South Australia
The flagship of the South Australian Branch’s Community Works is again underway. Invitations have been posted out to 220 schools throughout South Australia with secondary enrolments, inviting them to nominate one or two of their senior students in years 11 or 12 for the 2018 Student Citizenship Award.
Nominations, addressing 6 key criteria, are due by May 18 and a selection panel from the SA Branch of the Association will consider each of the nominations for the prestigious Student Citizen of the Year Award.
It is anticipated that the top 10 nominations will be invited to Government House to receive their certificates from the Governor of South Australia, His Excellency the honourable Hieu Van Le, AC, who will also present the Student of the Year Award to the selected student.
Later this year, members from the Association will talk briefly about The Order of Australia and present certificates to each of the nominated students at their respective school presentation evenings or Valedictory Services.
